Meet Billy! Billy is a 3 year old Boston boy who weighs 25 lbs. Billy was turned in to the shelter by his owner who told the shelter that Billy was scared of strangers which makes the shelter the last place Billy should be left alone by the person he trusted to take care of him! Billy has been with us since the beginning of October xxxx and he deserves a home to call his own. Billy is a sweet dog who wants to be loved for who he is and by someone who can help him to become more confident so he will be less afraid of new people. Billy has bonded very well with one of our volunteers and he listens to her like a good boy but he is still growly with other new people. Billy seems to warm up to women more than men although the male owner of the doggie day care can certainly handle him but Billy prefers the ladies. We think the best home for Billy will be a quiet one with either a single woman or a couple who are experienced with dogs and are willing to work with Billy. Included with Billy'Â?s adoption are lessons with our behaviorist who will be able to help you build your relationship with Billy. We also think that Billy will do best as an only dog. Billy is more of a Â?people dogÂ? than a Â?dog dogÂ? Billy is capable of being around other dogs but he is not a dog park dog, and he does not want to play with other dogs but he can certainly be around other dogs he has done well at outdoor cafes with other dogs around and as long as other diners understand that he needs his space. Billy also needs a very secure yard and home he is able to scale 6 foot fences in no time flat especially if he is trying to follow you. If you are looking for a companion that will be your buddy, then Billy would like to apply. Billy has been neutered, brought up to date on shots, he is micro chipped and ready to go to a home that will love and cherish him. He is done with doggie day care and wants to be one of the dogs that leave at the end of the day instead of staying behind.
